Salaries and Benefits

Working at a summer camp like Taconic has many advantages. You will be meeting and working with people your age from across the country and abroad. It is not uncommon for lifelong friendships to be made at Taconic among staff, as they do with our campers.

The atmosphere is warm, friendly, caring, and informal. The work is enjoyable and rewarding. You are provided with a place to live, great meals and snacks, along with laundry service. You will receive a base salary as well as room and board for the summer, a small travel stipend, and additional compensation related to your level of education, previous experience working with children or in a specialized field, and relevant certifications. In addition, you will leave camp with most of the money you earn; your only expenses will be part of your travel and whatever you do during your time off away from camp. You do not have to purchase any t-shirts or uniforms.
