We have two types of Counselor positions at Camp Taconic: General Counselors and Specialty Counselors:

• General Counselor As a General Counselor, you would live in a cabin with 1-2 other counselors and 8-10 campers, age 7, 8, 9, or 10. During the day, you will accompany the campers to their activities and assist in instruction where you are comfortable and knowledgeable. You will eat meals with your campers and sit with them during special events. You are their parents, their big brothers and sisters, and their teachers over the course of the summer.
  
  
• Specialty Counselor As a Specialty Counselor, you would live in a cabin with 1-2 other counselors and 8-12 campers, age 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15. During the day, you will teach in your activity area (having one period free each day), generally with 1-2 other counselors. Like general counselors, you will eat meals with your campers and sit with them during special events. You are their parents, their big brothers and sisters, and their teachers over the course of the summer.
